In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, library patrons are invited to Old Town Newhall Branch to come create beautiful tissue paper marigolds. Marigolds hold deep significance in Hispanic culture, rooted in Aztec traditions and widely recognized for their vibrant presence during Día de los Muertos. These flowers are commonly used to decorate ofrendas (altars), symbolizing remembrance, honor, and the enduring connection between the living and their ancestors. Come learn about the cultural history of the marigold while crafting your own to take home or contribute to a community display. All materials will be provided. No registration required—just bring your creativity!
