Event Details

The Garment Gallery is a pop-up fashion history exhibit curated by local student and fashion history enthusiast Sophie Lewis. Featuring nine historically significant garments spanning from the 1920s through the 2000s, this one-day, rotating exhibit aims to educate the community on how fashion has reflected and responded to societal changes, particularly regarding women’s roles and rights. Visitors will explore not only the historical context and cultural impact of each garment but also the design details that influenced trends for decades to come.

The exhibit also serves to promote the value of historic garment conservation and demonstrate how the past can be kept alive through fashion.
